Welcome to St John Zimbabwe
The St John Ambulance Association Zimbabwe is a non-profit organisation that is registered as a Welfare Organisation under the Department of Social Welfare in the Ministry of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare.
Its purposes and objectives are to promote and encourage the spirit and moral strengthening of mankind in accordance with the first great principle of the Order embodied in the Motto “Pro Fide”; to encourage and promote all works of humanity and charity for the relief of persons in sickness, distress, suffering, or danger, without distinction of race, class, or religion; and to extend the second great principle of the Order embodied in the Motto “Pro Utilitate Hominum”.
Our headquarters is located in Harare, with Centres in Bulawayo, Mutare, and Gweru. Each Centre offers professional ambulance services and certified training programs to ensure that lifesaving skills and high-quality emergency care are accessible.
Established in Zimbabwe in 1925, it serves as a key partner to the Ministry of Health and Child Care. The organisation is recognised for its dedication to enhancing community health and saving lives through comprehensive first aid training and the provision of emergency medical services.

To work with the community and other societal organisations to save lives and alleviate suffering through the provision of first aid skills and ambulance services.

Structure and Governance
St John Zimbabwe operates as a non-profit humanitarian organisation and forms part of the global Order of St John network. The organisation is guided by a National Council that provides strategic oversight and ensures strong governance, accountability and ethical leadership, supported by professional staff and dedicated volunteers.
